MTSU Library's Off-Campus Authentication Service

Certain electronic databases and other resources offered by MTSU Library are restricted by license agreement to current MTSU students, faculty, and staff. Students not actively attending classes in the Summer term are not considered active. In order to access those resources from off-campus, you must login. Be aware that access to the databases may not appear to be as fast as it seems to be from on-campus. There are a number of factors that influence the speed of your connection to the database you have selected. Your response time may depend on:

• the time of day (afternoons are particularly slow)
• the speed of your Internet Service Provider
• the speed of MTSU Library's internet connection. Again, afternoons are the worst time
• the speed of the database vendor's connection to the internet
